Godzilla

Before going into this movie, I was convinced it was going to be the best movie of the year. I watched the trailer numerous amounts of times, and Bryan Cranston is one of my all time favourite actors.

I could tell you .....that it was not even close.

The plot was horrible...

and you re probably thinking..was it not about a giant lizard that destroyed japan? How can they mess that up?
But no! It was not about that.

The movie should not even have been called Godzilla. It was about two other monsters creatures (that were completely ripped off from J.J Abrams depiction of an alien monster in Super 8 and Cloverfield) that were destroying Japan, America and Europe. (You can tell the movie really jumped around.)

Later....much later in the film, Godzilla comes out of the Ocean fights these two Monsters. Avoids killing any humans, and jumps back into the Ocean as CNN posts on the news. Godzilla our hero!

My jaw was dropped in the movie theatre. I could not believe they ruined the movie that I waited for an entire year!

Godzilla gets a 4/10

Godzilla could of been fantastic if they gave it a King Kong (Peter Jackson) feel to it. A monster movie that was transformed into a dramatic type of cinematography, to create a much better film. Or have some epic scenes such as Jarassic Park that last in your memory for a life time. It may sound weird that I would expect a monster movie to be dramatic, but King Kong falls in the category of one of the best films of the 2k0 decade and Jurassic Park is still one of the all time classics. Godzilla was not even close to any of these. Very disappointed!

Captain America (Spoilers)!!

All the reviews were raving about it. Said it was the best of the Marvel Movies! .....
unfortunately... I disagree.

It just seemed to me as a money grabber to promote the 2nd Avengers  movie. Don't get me wrong it had some epic scenes such as an elevator scene that was fantastically action packed. Just the overall plot was not my favourite. I feel like the entire premise that could of been explained in 5 minutes took 2 hours and 20 minutes to get its point across.

Chris Evans is not my preferred actor. I feel he over acts and really tries to impress the audience. He is constantly dragging some scenes down with his lack of emotion and experience with film.

The films name was the Winter Soldier, however the winter soldier was in the movie for maybe twenty minutes. I personally prefer when sequel super hero movie is more revolved around the villain and the hero is the sub plot. (because we learned so much about him in the first one) but this movie revolved solely around Captain America and his fight to find out what shield really means, and his love interest with Scarlett Johansson, who was by far the best actor in this film.

I rate Captain America (unlike other reviews) a 6/10

It could have been a fantastic movie if Captain America faced a villain that he stood no chance against but overcame all of it. That to me is what a hero movie is supposed to be about.
Everything came so easy to him. Even Superman has his tough battles....

Graphics and Special effects bump this movie up in the ratings, but its lack of good acting and plot drag it down to a 6.

The Amazing Spider Man 2 (spoilers)!!!

It is very difficult to review The Amazing Spider-Man 2, because a part of me loved it, but another part of me thought it was poorly done.
Once I broke down my feelings and I thought about the film for the next few days. I was able to review it much better. Nothing agaisnt actor Jamie Foxx, because I am aware that he is a fantastic actor, but I feel him and his character (electro) really ruined what could of been a fantastic sequal to its average predessesor (The amazing spider-man). His acting was sub-par, and his characters story line was not even close to what us viewers wanted it to be.

As the movie goes on you realize that Spidermans friend Harry Osborne becomes a much better villian then Electro. Especially when it comes to  the point where he transforms into the Green Goblin. This is where the movie really takes a great turn. The acting is suburb, and the character story line makes much more sense.

On a side note Andrew Garfield (Spider Man) and Emma Stone ( Gwen Stacey's) chemistry on screen is absolutly fanstastic. Theyre acting really saves this movie and allows it to be rated a

6.5/10

This Movie could of easily got an 8/10 atleast by either fixing Electros character or by taking it out completly and really focusing on the friendship that fell apart between Peter Parker and Harry Osborne.

The ending of the movie was perfect as much as people hate the fact that Gwen Stacy died. It stayed true to the comic books and allowed them to really play on the depression which could make for a great 3rd film.....hopefully.

My blog will appeal to basically anybody who is intrested in film and the arts. The way I will be reviewing the movies and the format of my blog will be targeted more towards the ages of 17-29. My blog is made for both men and women. Obviously there are some movies that appeal more to men or more to woman. However, my blog as a whole is targeted to both sexes.

My blog will have a persona that makes viewers want to know what I think of movies because im going review movies as a tough credict but also like an everyday person would review a movie as they are watching it for the first time in the theatre. After I do this I will be writing things that as the director or actors, I would of done differently to make for a better motion picture. My blog is meant to be sleak and stylish to appeal to a younger crowd
